Nyanquoi Suah – President

Nyanquoi Suah is an economist and policy specialist with over a decade of experience spanning project management, international development, and public policy development and implementation, including work with the Government of Canada and the United Nations System.

He has worked on high-profile policy issues and overseen large-scale development programs, building economic resilience and social mobility in fragile communities in Africa and North America. He currently works for the Government of Canada in the areas of international engagement and in-Canada asylum policy. Prior to joining the federal public service, he successfully managed. a Canada-wide newcomer integration program from Toronto and served as a development policy specialist for the UNDP in Liberia.

Nyanquoi is passionate about creating access and inclusion pathways for minority youth and newcomers, helping them overcome barriers to lead fulfilling lives. His commitment to giving back to society through volunteering, along with his leadership focus on community empowerment, is fueled by his lived experience as an immigrant and a former refugee.

He has an educational background in policy, economics and international development from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto and the University of Cape Coast.

In his leisure time, Nyanquoi enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading, and supporting his favourite soccer club, Real Madrid FC.
